Must Love Garlic

Oven Baked Garlic Shrimp

This is a go-to recipe for those times when you want a no-fuss, healthy, and delicious meal in minutes. Serve it alongside a fresh Caesar Salad for a garlic double-whammy. For that matter, you can toss them into a Caesar Salad. Or some brown-rice pasta. Or brown rice. These shrimp aren’t fussy. And if you are, you’ll love them.

 

Ingredients

20 lg or extra large raw shrimp

2-3 cloves garlic, minced

Sprinkle of paprika/smoked paprika

Freshly ground black pepper

3 T canola oil

3T olive oil

2 T butter

Method:

Preheat the oven to 400 F

Rinse and drain shrimp. Measure oils into a measuring cup. Add minced garlic to oil. Let stand for 5-10 minutes. Pour oil into ovenproof dish or pan. Heat in oven for 5 mins (garlic should begin to cook a little). Quickly arrange shrimp in hot oil. Season with a mixture of smoked and/or regular paprika and grind pepper over. Dab with butter. Return to hot oven and bake for 5 mins. Check for doneness. Switch oven to broil and broil 2-3 mins until shrimp are just cooked through.
