Irresistible GF Oatmeal Cookies: Bet You Can’t Eat Just One

Gluten-free oatmeal cookiesThey say that certain aromas evoke specific emotional responses. I remember my grandmother advising me that if I wanted to attract a special beau, I should put a couple of dabs of vanilla extract behind my ears. Men, she claimed, loved the scent because it reminded them of fresh-baked cookies, and it was well known that few men could resist a homemade cookie. Having seen my ears, it was my grandmother’s attempt to be comforting. Her cookies alone were comfort enough. Her kind advice, precious.

Today, baking cookies simply makes me happy. Reminding me of all that is precious – home, hearth, grandmotherly advice and the good fortune to be whole and healthy.

Bake up a batch of these gluten-free oatmeal cookies. The kitchen will smell glorious. The cookies will be irresistible.  While you’re at it it, dab on a little vanilla. You’ll be irresistible, too. Nana said.
